At John Muir Middle School, this vision means that we strive to be more than just a school—we aim to be a place where students, staff, and families feel connected, supported, and inspired. By fostering strong relationships, encouraging collaboration, and promoting active student engagement, we help Wildcats grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Through these efforts, we prepare our students to make positive contributions to our community, guided by Wildcat PRIDE: Patience, Respect, Integrity, Dependability, and Empathy. Every interaction, project, and activity reflects our commitment to building character as well as knowledge.

This mission drives everything we do at JMMS. We are dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment where every student feels heard, valued, and empowered to succeed. By embracing Wildcat PRIDE, we help students develop strong ethical character, respect for themselves and others, and the confidence to make thoughtful decisions. Our mission extends beyond academics: we prepare Wildcats for success in life by equipping them with critical thinking skills, leadership abilities, and the resilience to meet challenges both in school and in the wider world.
