Wildcat Clubs
At John Muir Middle School, participation in extracurricular activities and clubs is an excellent way for students to develop leadership, teamwork, and character—living our Wildcat PRIDE of Patience, Respect, Integrity, Dependability, and Empathy. Students not only strengthen their ability to collaborate and lead but also enjoy meaningful experiences that make middle school unforgettable.

Friends of Rachel Club (FOR)
Inspired by Rachel’s Challenge, this club works to create a “chain reaction” of kindness and compassion throughout the school. Members engage in monthly projects that promote empathy, generosity, and positive community impact—core aspects of Wildcat PRIDE.

California Junior Scholastic Federation (CJSF)
Students who qualify based on academic achievement can join CJSF to perform community service and earn recognition at promotion. This club emphasizes responsibility, integrity, and giving back to the community.

Associated Student Body (ASB)
ASB members are student leaders who embody Wildcat PRIDE. They are motivated, honest, respectful, and committed to creating a positive and memorable experience for all students. ASB students plan school events, promote school spirit, and serve as role models for their peers.

Leadership Club
This club is designed to develop leadership skills, enhance public speaking, and encourage respect for peers, staff, and the school community. Leadership Club members practice integrity, empathy, and teamwork while preparing to be confident, responsible leaders.

Yearbook
The Yearbook Club meets daily to produce the school yearbook, providing students with hands-on experience in writing, photography, graphic design, and digital production. Members demonstrate creativity, collaboration, and attention to detail—all while preserving memories for the entire Wildcat community.

Agriculture Club
The Agriculture Club gives students a fun, hands-on way to explore plant science, animal care, and agricultural systems while building leadership skills. Members participate in projects, competitions, and events that encourage teamwork, responsibility, and community involvement—living the values of Wildcat PRIDE.

Kinesiology Club
The Kinesiology Club focuses on movement, health, and wellness while promoting leadership through team activities, fitness challenges, and healthy lifestyle initiatives. Students develop self-discipline, collaboration, and confidence—key components of Wildcat PRIDE—as they learn to lead by example.

Theater Club
The John Muir Middle School Theater Club is where Wildcats bring stories to life! Whether on stage or behind the scenes, students gain confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills while experiencing the excitement of live theater.
Our talented performers stage two full productions each year, giving students the chance to showcase their acting, stagecraft, and leadership abilities for the entire JMMS community. From comedy to drama, musicals to classics, every play is a celebration of student voice and artistic expression.
Theater Club members also have the honor of participating in the International Thespian Honor Society, connecting them to a global network of student actors and theater enthusiasts. This recognition highlights the dedication, talent, and Wildcat PRIDE—Patience, Respect, Integrity, Dependability, and Empathy—that our students bring to the stage.
In Theater Club, every student has a role to play, every voice matters, and every performance inspires.
